When thinking about your business, it’s one of the best things you have at your disposal to make a good impression. Your business card can say a lot about you. While it may be much more warm and fuzzy to think “my customers will see the quality work I do and so my business card doesn’t matter”, it simply isn’t the case. We all make judgements, snap judgements, on how things look. Like it or not, your business image will be sized up by a potential customer within seconds.Business cards

Make those seconds count! A good quality, substantial feeling card sends the right message. And design matters. Keep it simple. Don’t try to cram everything you can on the thing. Keep to the basics:

  • Your name – Put the name people know you by.
  • What do you do – Your company name and logo as well as what you do there. Are you the owner, the coffee runner.. hey every job is important, especially the person who gets the coffee.
  • Contact information – Phone number, e-mail, work address. Social media profiles can be very useful as long as they don’t lead toa lot of clutter. Ask yourself, what is the MOST important information my clients need to get in touch with me. If that is through a social media channel, then use it.
  • QR Code – Consider a QR code. They are  great toolsto visually present web addresses, phone numbers, or any number of things. Your designer should be able to help you with this.

Use BOTH sides for goodness sake! Watching people at a networking event, I’ve noticed most people when given a card, almost immediately flip it over. Make sure you make the most of it.

Nothing beats a professionally designed card. Talk to your designer, and discuss your options. If you have questions you’d like answered or need a designer, get in touch with me. or call  519-43980481
